“I’m in pursuit of liminal spaces, listening, patience and quiet. I believe the body has profound knowledge to share, that love is powerful, that hearts are hungry and need to be fed. I feel the complication writhing within myself and know it must also be writhing within others. I think if two people each have a little grace, it’s possible to find common ground with the most unlikely of souls. Art speaks in ways that words cannot and there is power in both metaphor and image; there are vague but intense places of emotion and intention that need more room and less definition so we can exist as the overflowing, messy beings that we are. We all carry frustrating truths and fears and it is better to untangle and look at them head on rather than deny them for the sake of false stability. There are infinite ways to do this, but art is how I parse the world and these are the things I hope my work could even begin to hold in it’s subtle, quiet metaphors.”

Hello friends,
I get a lot of emails every year about my work, process, inspiration, and materials. While I love answering your questions I don't have time to get to all of them. To make amends for this, I listed a list of links to interviews, features, and my resume which will hopefully answer most of your questions. I hope this is helpful to all of you curious folk. If you have any other questions not answered here, please email me and I’ll get back with you if I can.
best,
Christina
I am not currently taking on personal commissions, I do however have some room in my schedule for commercial projects. Please get in touch if you think your project would be a good fit!
Christina Mrozik has spent the majority of their life observing the natural world and the various relationships within it. Drawing from the external, Mrozik uses a combination of flora and fauna, occasionally adding prose, to parse the complexity of our inner worlds.
Graduating from University with an emphasis in illustration, Mrozik has worked with multiple international galleries and commercial agencies. They primarily make drawings, often composed from watercolor, graphite, acrylic and ink, and has recently delved into the world of ceramics. Mrozik consistently works with arts education nonprofits including Rabbit Island School, and enjoys working collaboratively.
